Guyz, 1] I am little confused as to what activator to use in order to activate office 2010. There seems to be 3 Diff. types of activators namely: Microsoft Toolkit - Official KMS Solution for Windows and Office 2010 Trilogy WOAT - OEM/KMS Activator Now, which is the best and is there any cons in them? 2] I also would like to know what is converting office 2010 to VL edition ? Request to provide me wid sum info.
1. CODY's toolkit is best as it incorporates some advanced features. WOAT is quite old & doesn't support PID changing. Trilogy doesn't activate Office, it extends the rearm count, so you can run it in infinite trial. 2. Changing the retail license to volume license ~ as simple as it sounds.
Okay, so you are suggesting I should go with the CODY (KMS Solution).... Can u pls let me know if its permanent activation? Can it be used on both – Retail/VL installations?
Okay, i have downloaded KMS (CODY). Now it seems, it works by resetting the 180days grace timer everyday at startup. I would not like it to perform reset eceryday, especially at startup. So pls guide me what & how can i make changes in such a way tht it only performs resetting the trial every 100 days. Thx
I think that you would need to change/update the Task schedule settings within windows that currently is set to run at startup you can find it here.... Control Panel\System and Security\Task schedule or you could use this method... Fix for Auto KMS (EZ-Activator / Microsoft Toolkit) schedule (it wants to run at every reboot + every day, while required only once per 180 days, so we changing it to run once per month). Place these files at AutoKMS folder and run AutoKMS.bat by hands (from admin account) once. AutoKMS.bat c: cd c:\windows\AutoKms start /WAIT AutoKMS.exe c: cd c:\windows\AutoKms powershell -command "Set-ExecutionPolicy RemoteSigned" powershell -file autokms.ps1 > autokms.schedulelog powershell -command "Set-ExecutionPolicy AllSigned" AutoKMS.ps1 $n = "AutoKMS" $s = new-object -com("Schedule.Service") $s.connect() $f = $s.getfolder("\") $t = $f.gettask($n) $d = $t.Definition $r = $d.Triggers.Item(1) $r.DaysInterval = 30 $r = $d.Triggers.Item(2) $r.Enabled = $false $a = $d.Actions.Item(1) $a.Path= $a.Path.replace(".exe", ".bat") $f.RegisterTaskDefinition($n, $d, 0x24, $null, $null, 5, $null)
Hey thanks for the above, i have not tried it yet due to very busy schedule, but will soon. Apart frm tht, i had already activated ofiice 2010 directly frm microsoft (Via phone) on my old HDD. Now, i had copied the tokens and placed in appropriate location on my new HDD but still it aint gettin activated. Anyway i can use this KMS tool, to copy license and restore on my new HDD, OR, New HDD means ew hardware and hence old token wont work ?
