Hello, I'm thinking of reformatting my HDD, partition it with GPT, instead of MBR then install, since otherwise Windows 11 is uninstallable ,but I'm not sure how to reactivate Windows 10? My laptop came with Windows 7 then I upgraded it to 10, how to reactivate it? How to copy My registered serial no then add it after reinstaling?
Your Windows will be activated automatically, after You have installed it on the same PC and You have internet connection. If You want to get GPT instead of MBR, not needed to reformat. Simply convert from MBR to GPT without losing any data. The converting process takes only some minutes. But remember, the only converting will not help. In Your BIOS must be EFI/UEFI alloved and there must be base UEFI software installed.

cscript /nologo slmgr.vbs /cpky only clears product key from registry, key remains installed. This option should be used to prevent someone from stealing product key from registry. Activation works as normal. cscript /nologo slmgr.vbs /upk completely uninstalls product key, puts the OS into notification mode and breaks activation. This should NEVER, EVER be done. If the user wants to remove the currently installed product key, a generic default key should be installed instead. This will allow proper trial period (before Windows 8, of course)
