Can I make 2 editions of WinPE, one light/quick and one full, and put the 2 indexes in a single boot.wim, giving the user the option to start which one he likes, while taking the advantage of having partially identical indexes compressed together inside a .wim file to save space ? I've already added the 2nd boot.wim with this command: I just don't know how to specify the index to boot using bcdboot.exe or bcdedit.exe !
why ... you ... don't ... make ... 2 wim ... files ... !!!!! ???? and edit bcd file with bootice, which is more sense .. ???? [ and add 5 sec delay until choice System to run ]
As I said, to save space, 2 wims with partially identical contents are saved only once in the final boot.wim, no matter how many indexes you add, that's why .wim files are useful ! M$ since Windows Vista uses this .wim format to include several editions of Windows (Home/Pro/Ent/etc...).
Well you can create two images one with index:1 and second index:? or use ei.cfg. And best option is ventoy.
