    At a store, you can buy an COEM dvd set, it's the OEM systembuilder edition, only to be used on one device.

    But you do know windows 10 Home/Pro is handed out for free?

    You get a HWID for free if it were oemret installs. In an organization you probably run VL installs.

    can you still upgrade from older versions to 10 for free? A refurbished pc came with an OEM license for win7. It actually has win10 preinstalled but not activated. I tried to activate it but can't anymore. Says I don't have the digital license. :"(

    Yes, the free HWID by upgrade or genuineticket never ended.

    To check what MSDM and or slic is inside the bios, you can use the Query Tool from the MRP thread,

    iinstall Windows 7SP1 and activate using Daz loader then update to windows 10 will still give you a Genuine Licence or digital licence activation.
