Frankly, this new thing that some group policies only apply to Enterprise and Edu editions is total garbage. Anyone know how to bypass this? Registry setting? DLL tweak? Hex edit? Something, anything?
Best way to bypass would be to do in-memory patching of the code that does the checks. Similar to what rdpwrap does for Remote Desktop, for example.
Yes, I was thinking of rdpwrap as well. But has anyone done this for the case of these group policies? I'm not at a point where I could do it myself.
You might as well just install Enterprise/Education instead of jumping through all those hoops for something MS might silently patch. You are on MDL after all
