Q2: after changed is that effect or makes any chage specially for updates what I installed before ( i installed many windows updates well oem updates different not like rtm or they can conflict or do anything wrong ) ? Notice : i made my on pc (intel ) not pc already made it like hp or dell or acer ...etc
I downloaded windows 7 ultimate 64 rtm i want to make it oem version btw i used crack for oem telles me its oem & other checker says rtm & the REAL what i download is rtm so please i want to change it to OEM
This is the only defference between the OEM and Retaild isos ei.cfg of Windows 7 RTM retail ISO: [EditionID] Ultimate [Channel] Retail [VL] 0 ei.cfg of Windows 7 RTM OEM ISO: [EditionID] Ultimate [Channel] OEM [VL] 0 The ei.cfg file is to be found in the /sources directory
run slmgr -dlv you will find details about your activation state also whether 7 is retail or oem. To change from retail to oem all you have to do is mod your bios and use a matching certificate and any oem:slp key, or use a loader you will have OEM 7. To have retail you just have to buy a copy from a software retailer /have a msdn subscription or higher etc etc.... you get a retail key. Hope that helps
thanks guys but i have already installed is there anyway to change it after installed ? coz i dont know system freeze like vista before maybe from retail version cuz when i was used vista oem doesn't freeze
This might be a stupid question but altering or deleting the ei.cfg file will not change the hash, will it?
You can have any type of OS installed, system will freeze because of the hardware you have, not the OEM or retail version of the OS.
