I clean installed 15063 on my Asus Desktop already, and after connected to Internet for activation, Windows 10 starts to max out my internet connection bandwidth.

I don't know what this OS currently downloading, it could be video drivers or etc update, how to check and control or schedule those updates to later time, the whole office internet is UNUSABLE because of this desktop keeps on downloading.

I want to control what files and when to download, I don't want Windows 10 automatically downloads whatever it sees fit, I want to be in control of my own machine.

    Please help,

I am using this app called Netlimiter to see what applications are hogging my download speed. And then you can choose another app that may disable those that you think are unnecessary downloads. If its about controlling your Windows update i am sure that the masters here will help you.;)

First without the internet connected as u said, disable all the settings that will cause update all the things windows is doing.
Like it starts with downloading new updates of your apps in the app store, that is default enabled to download automatic new updates.
Then configure the start menu, so that it wont install suggested apps automatic to.
In source control that u can start via task manager, u can see more in detail what or who is doing something.
Or even better, ProcessHacker is an better program in more better detail to show what is downloading.

Install Windows Updates Mini Tool in Sig, set to notification mode, will play sound when you have new updates/ then you select which updates you want to install/hide,Will only install what you tell it to, Include drivers unchecked, Neat Tool.

I shutdown that pc after I posted here earlier, waiting for help before I turn on this good for nothing OS,

Will try your suggestion after I click submit reply, thank you very much! :worthy:

    1. How to configure start menu ? I tried remove all those apps, but after restart, they shows up again in this stupid start menu, this is damn annoying.

    2. I would appreciate if you could detail what are those settings that will cause unnecessary downloading, this is desktop pc for small business use that doesn't need any other stuffs except kingsoft office.

Connections point to 13.107.4.50, max out my bandwidth, why still more and more download even with clean installed 15063?

    Wtf with windows 10

I set windows update to notification and admin managed, still doesn't stop the downloading,
How to stop every s**t that WU is doing right now and take control back?

    Under Update settings
*We'll ask you to download updates, except when updates are required to keep Windows running smoothly. In that case, we'll automatically download those updates.

to keep Windows running smoothly is open to infinite definition, wtf.

After 4 hours or more taking all my bandwidth, this s**t finally stops downloading

I use dism capture and apply the captured wim file to another exact desktop, luckily the new applied desktop doesn't do all the initial crazy download :tasty:

Maybe I need to use router that could controls bandwidth and connects it to desktop or laptop that just clean installed.

I end up disabled DoSvc (Delivery Optimization), this seems to solve my issue.

fyi, my setting for updates from more than one place is Off from my stock image, I don't think windows and m$ obey my Off command, because I saw connection made to my local network isp.

Are you on Insider Preview by any chance? Looking at the solution you applied by disabling the Delivery Optimization at services points out Windows 10 is probably searching a new upgrade.

Windows ain't that bad, it only downloads/uploads ADs, drivers, onedrive's stuff, store apps, updates, telemetry, windows settings and a few others things, you are really making something out of nothing. :)
