The method there is to localize your Office install DVD. OK. But by doing easy personal search, you could find how to transform VL to Retail or vice-versa. All xxxx.WW folders are the install folders for VL version , and the xxxxR.WW are the retail ones. So if you want to have a VL ProPlus install DVD from a Retail Proplus DVD, just replace (not add but replace) folder ProPlusR.WW with ProPlus.WW. Same apply for Visio.WW and VisioR.WW , or PrjPro.WW and PrjProR.WW , .... Now it should be easy for you.
Hello, You can download ProPlus.WW from WZOR ( x86 version ), here : Convert Retail to VL : 1 - Download ProPlus.WW and extract where you want 2 - Extract the Retail File ( in C:\Office for example ) with this command : Code: xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx.exe /extract:C:\Office where xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx.exe is the Retail File Name 3 - in C:\Office, delete the ProPlusR.WW directory. 4 - Copy the ProPlus.WW directory ( downloaded and extracted in step 1 ) in C:\Office The end. You have Office 2010 ProPlus VL in C:\Office Excuse my poor english.
Well this has to be one of the most sloppy put together Edition changers I've seen in a while but yea the edition is not only stored in PROPLUS(R) its also stored in the OSPP.vbs which you guys seem to be missing again lol.... just to get down to the points n facts you really don't need some special software to pull this out of the hat... just moving a few files here and there...
Pretty much inside the Setup.xml file there is a list of all the potential editions that can be used which is used in conjunction with OSPP.vbs... Like if I had a number in the setup.xml file and it said 1,2,3,4,5 and each number correlated to an edition of office 2010 and say you wanted to use the retail copy you would just plug in 1 and if you wanted to use a volume copy would plug in two... This is what I've been looking into and its pretty easy to do as you just have to put the right stuff in it to make it all work... I won't get that detailed because if you can switch the editions at the 170 day point then you can make it last longer and if you made something to do that automatically then the activation could easily be bypasses with the amount of editions in office 2010... Its something I know how to do but I just won't admit how cause I'm slowing go over to a informational basis now....
Any Dropbox link for x86,my download suddenly stopped at 87% unfortunately i cannot resume it now,it seems there is no resume support.
It would be great if someone could upload these to Mediafire.com. I have a big trouble to download from Megaupload.
A novel idea.......... Why not just get a copy of the VL .iso instead of trying to transform the retail into the VL!!!
This has probably been discussed before but what's the difference between RETAIL and VL? Is there no need to activate VL editions?
