Thanks, though I already found out about it. RDP Wrapper is updated and the new versions of termsrv.dll are now supported!
Why would KB2973501 downgrade termsrv from 6.3.9600.17095 to 6.2.9200.17048 ? It makes no sense sebus
My Windows 8.1 x64 machine has just rebooted for Windows Updates. One of the updates has updated termsrv.dll on it with version 9.3.9600.17415 :-(
It's not from KB2959626, which is old. Maybe from the massive KB3000850 rollup yesterday? Look in your history to find out what was installed.
Strange, well the only two updates that have applied were: 3011780 3000850 Oh and Windows Defender Definitions
I found the reason: I had installed the update manually via the Download Center (including the two supplemental updates attached to KB3000850). There's apparently an issue with that method in this case, since when you later go to Windows Update, KB3000850 is still there! Installing it that way picked up the "rest" of the update, including the new termsrv.dll.
Yes, changed this HEX: 39 81 3C 06 00 00 0F 84 D3 1E 02 00 To: B8 00 01 00 00 89 81 38 06 00 00 90 Did see a post about changing a couple more lines but could only find the first bit and when i changed just that the Remote Desktop service wouldnt start but it is definitely working just changing the one line for me so far.
I think the other two lines are needed to enable multi-session using the same user account. Using the single change only, I can log on with several accounts on a machine simultaneously, but not with several sessions for the same account (despite setting the fSingleSessionPerUser registry key to 0). Has anyone hexed the other lined for the 9600.17415 version of termsrv.dll?
Ah that would explain that then - I use multiple accounts simultaneously and not the same one so my hex edit isnt a problem for me.
Right, it's different for 32-bit. It's back a couple pages in the thread, but zip up the new unpatched 32-bit dll and post it here.
