I use Macrium to create drive/partition backups, but I never install Macrium. I make backups only when OS is offline. I simply use Rufus to apply bootable Macrium WinPE/WinRE "Rescue" ISO to USB drive, then boot from created Macrium "Rescue" USB drive to make 1:1 copies (images/snapshots) of drives I want to backup. I restore backups the same way from bootable Macrium "Rescue" USB drive. This is a bit cumbersome. I want to make same type of 1:1 backups while running Windows 10/11 and if my OS becomes unbootable, I want to be able to boot from an internal Macrium WinPE/WinRE drive/partition that can restore Macrium backups, but I don't know how to apply Macrium "Rescue" ISO to internal drives/partitions...
Thank you! Maybe if I perform fresh OS install I can rename Macrium's Boot.wim to WinRE.wim and replace System32\Recovery\WinRE.wim with Macrium's?
