The amount of Windows Updates that I have to install upon first installing Windows 7 is insane and slows my work so much as an IT Professional when formatting PCs How to properly create a Windows 7 x64 Disc that is bootable, remove the eif.cg file to be able to install all editions, and include all current Windows updates + include the .NET Microsoft 4.5 Framework? Please give me step by step instructions I am a n00b at this
Reading this I have made a mistake.. the code for integrating the updates is wrong for you.. This is one I did and it is just for Windows 7 Ultimate with all the other index's removed. Meaning ultimate is Index:1. Hang on... Then I forgot to add make a folder called "mount" within the DISM folder.... sorry.. That code adds the updates to all index's, Have no idea how large the image will be at the end though. Never done all of them..
Ok...I will get on with those on Saturday. As I said I don't know how to integrate .net framework. Never felt the need to do so. Always done it manually when needed. I will look into it though and test it out for you. What I will do is check the W.U.D site for their latest version. I have it downloaded up to June 11th 2013, so if there is a newer one I will download them and get to work. Hopefully when adding all those updates to all the index's it will still fit on a dvd.. Guess we will soon find out. Once I have done and tested out the discs to make sure they install properly I will give you a shout and we can move on from there. Are you in the UK ? Somebody will come up with a download link for an up to date version. I will use images en_windows_7_ultimate_with_sp1_x64_dvd_u_677332 en_windows_7_ultimate_with_sp1_x86_dvd_u_677460 I downloaded those from an MDL link in 2011..OK..
There is also wintoolkit which seems very user friendly. As EFA11 has already said murphy78 does brilliant AIOs of Windows 7 and 8 each month so if you can't be bothered doing it yourself you can download his which are virus free and very trustworthy.
Maybe this "murphy78" is the man for the job.. PM him. He may well know and already integrated the .net framework too... I feel the need to look into do this now.....
ill eagerly waite for those x86 and x64 ISOs mate i really really appreciate it PS: pls do not forget to remove the ei.cfg so the disc would be able to install any flavor of Windows 7 thanks
I will add this here as well as in the PM I sent.. Sorry... Not posting out of the UK.. PM the Murphy chap. He may well have a download link for you... Sorry....
ohh nooooo there is a misunderstanding here...i dont want him or anyone to ship the discs to me, i want them to upload it so i can download the ISO
