I am using Windows 8.1 Pro WMC. I have also installed Stardock's Start8 and ModernMix. I am able to create almost every Metro/Modern application's shortcut on my desktop except the Internet Explorer Metro/Modern Application. I just go to Apps search and there I find the option to create desktop shortcut for any Metro/Modern App. Kindly inform how I can create a desktop shortcut for Internet Explorer Metro/Modern version.

It can't be done, because the metro IE and desktop IE is indexed as one application...

so for example you can run Windows Store by this desktop shortcut:
    Code:
    C:\Windows\explorer.exe shell:AppsFolder\winstore_cw5n1h2txyewy!Windows.Store
    (no f***ing Stardock is needed)
but even when you will try to run:
    Code:
    C:\Windows\explorer.exe shell:AppsFolder\Microsoft.InternetExplorer.Default
OS will detect desktop mode and it will run desktop IE for you.

(...but maybe, MAYBE it can be changed, when you will select "Metro IE preferred" or "IE will decide" in desktop IE InternetOptions\Programs menu\StartUpOfIEApp)
