My boss bought IBM X3650-M2 server without any OS preinstalled.
And it already has SLIC table (checked it with everest)

    OEM ID : IBM
    OEM Table ID : THURLEY
    OEM REVISION : 00000h
    Creator ID : IBM
    Creator REVISION : 01000013h

Can I activate win 2008 R2 on it, since I don't have any certificate files with OEM ID "THURLEY" ?
If the answer is no, how to create it? Or how do i get it?

    thanks

Well u can't create a certificate since all certs are digitally signed... maybe u can find a IBM cert...

First you still need to dump the SLIC to see if it's actually not empty (i mean the fields for public key and digital signature data, i'm pretty much sure they're zero'ed like OEM REVISION). Anyways, never heard about working "IBM" SLIC. Even their servers use "LENOVO" as OEM ID .So, what you see is probably "a place for SLIC", rather than actual SLIC.

So, how to 'insert' the SLIC table into it ?
