I'm looking for a way to download Windows 10 Updates' standalone installation files using Internet Download Manager instead of the regular Microsoft Update tool. It's preferable that I have the files downloaded from Microsoft's official channels. Why this is helpful? IDM is faster in than the regular Microsoft Update because it applies multiple connections for downloading the file. I would be able to store a backup of updates that could be retrieved later to save time for further system resets or fresh installs.
Thanks a lot for your help! I need a method to generate/capture the download links on my own? For the repository, updates for Office and other products aren't there. Links in the Archive Index aren't Microsoft direct links.
That page above will tell you the direct links to the files. So it saves you alot of time. You can take what ever files you need from there and download in idm, as that page above shows you the links to those files. You just need to now know which files your computer needs, and download those.
The problem is that I've other products' updates like Visual Basic and Drivers Updates. So I need a generalized way that enables me to capture the download links of these updates from my base (on my own), not use others' generated list.
I know of this website displaying those kinds of file. you can try it out yourself... http: //pastebin.com /64kqShtj i just started to download a file.
