    How to edit Microsoft's edge.wim?

    I found edge.wim at C:\Windows\WinSxS\amd64_microsoft-windows-edgechromium_31bf3856ad364e35_10.0.19041.1266_none_74657031110a9d30 .

I think that's why it gets installed automatically after every reboot. I want to modify it and delete the edgeupdate in it. Is there any effective way?

    Try wimlib-imagex.

@devilink and @gailium119 and all who also don't know...
You don't need to edit it in any way, you can completely destroy it if you want, because it is an outdated version of Edge (and also EdgeWebView) that is installed on your computer with your Windows installation and will never be used again. This is an outdated version of Edge, for example I have Edge v92.0.902.67, while everyone probably knows that the current version is already 103.0.1264.49.
So, no need to bother changing it, rather remove it completely, because you really will never need it again. However, if it's still there, it won't bother anyone or anything, it'll just use a bit (about) of disk space and that's all the .wim file will do for you.
