How to Find Drivers ?

    Hello. How to find drivers or which program is best for finding drivers ?

    Some experts recommend not to use driver update programs.

    I had mixed results using Snappy Driver. No problem at all with the video drivers it recommended using. But the wifi driver it found was another story. After installing, no wifi was available, and no amount of fiddling could get it to work. I had to go back to HP's support website using another machine, download the OEM wifi driver, copy it to a USB flash drive, and install it on the HP. As far as I'm concerned, that should always be your first choice.

    It's best practice is to go through the OEM to get your drivers

    Drivers can usually be found on the actual mfg of what component your updating, for example, if your updating your intel wifi, simply head over to intel website, and download your driver, mfg of each componet will usually have the latest driver
