I just got a HP computer with Win 7 and I was wondering how I can find the certificate for OEM activation. Is it located somewhere on the hardrive with a specific name or is it more complicated than that?
C:\Windows\ServiceProfiles\NetworkService\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\SoftwareProtectionPlatform\tokens.dat The certificate is contained within the tokens.dat file. You would need to extract it. It can be done manually or there are tools like slic toolkit by davidxxw that can extrract it for you.
