Hey everyone new to this forum

I was wondering if i could get some help. I was trying to find my product key using some keyfinders but they all return BBBB-BBB....

I wanted to reinstall windows on a new hard drive. I'm running windows 7 pro x64

If anyone knows a good keyfinder or some way of finding it within the system that would be great.

Seems im out of luck..that one didnt work either. Im not sure why anything out there can't detect my product key. I'm not sure if theres another way not involving a keyfinder. Perhaps some sort of registry searching?

BBBBB-...... means its an MAK key, which can't be recovered. All traces are removed from the registry :(

sorry for the late reply... I'm not sure what kind of version I have. I didn't buy it, the school I attended offers windows pro for free.

    Just did... I get BBBB-BBB....

Well thanks for the help anyways to everyone. I think i still have one more genuine key left I'll have to reinstall with that and keep it safe. Then again windows 8 is on its way

I would try imaging the hard drive first with EaseUS® Todo Backup Free 4.0 you may not need to use your other key.

That never came across my mind..good idea. Although I ask since ive never done a cloning of a drive Is it possible to only select windows core components and none of the other programs I have on current drive? My original intentions were to buy a solid state drive between 64GB and 120GB just because this drive of mine LAGS. So i would have the SSD as the main bootable hard drive and the regular terabyte for storage.

Again thanks to everyone for their advice
