I have dual boot with Win7 sp1 and Win8 7989, on 7989 I configured 2.18GB for max usage on system protection, and I created a restore point there. If I stays on 7989, the restore point would still be there, but when I restart the pc and go to Win7 sp1, doing something there, and then I restart again and go back to 7989, the restore point in 7989 is gone, and the max usage was reset to zero. Does anyone know how to fix this problem? I know with win xp and win7 dual boot, I used Stop_xp.reg to prevent win xp deleting win7 restore points, and win xp never "see" the win7 drive, so it can't do anything to it, are there any similar techniques for dual boot win 7 and win 8? Thanks in advance.
Boot-to-VHD solves everything. ^_^. Also, remember, this is still pre-alpha/alpha. We are not at beta.
Have you both tried running Ccleaner, Auslogics BoostSpeed in win 7, then reboot and go to 7989. If your restore point in 7989 still there, then it works, otherwise, it does not solve the problem...
I have tried your suggestion, after running Ccleaner, Auslogics BoostSpeed in win 7, then reboot and go to back to 7989, my restore point is gone. We need something like stop_xp.reg for xp, win 7 dual boot...
