how to fix mbr

    how do i restore mbr from install cd? i decided to delete my linux partitions on my netbook but now i can't boot at all. so how in the world do i restore the mbr?

    bootrec /fixmbr, do it from recovery console of window 7 DISK
    (fix & repair ---> command prompt ---> bootrec /fixmbr)

    I assume you want to fix mbr of Windows 7 as this tread is under Windows 7 category.

    You can repair the startup problem with Windows 7 system Repair Disc or with Windows 7 RTM DVD that you already have. When you boot with the Windows 7 RTM DVD, there is an option to repair windows at the boot of the INSTALL WINDOWS page. See the attached picture.

    There it take you to another page where you can make system restore, image restore, startup fixing, etc (try to fix startup errors).
