    Hello,

Serg008 posted this modded bios for me here:
    http://forums.mydigitallife.net/threads/5863-Award-amp-AMI-Bios-mod-requests.?p=343199#post343199

He says ´Flash from DOS with included Flash Utility´.

The problem is, I dont have a floppy-drive. I do have a USB-flash stick. I think I can use that one.. but the info I get from google is pretty confusing. For example on the foxconn support website it is explained how to create a bootable USB-flash disk, but then you still need a floppy-disk! Look at this steps:
Can someone please tell me in steps how to create a bootable USB flash drive, with the modded bios files from Serg008. Without needing a floppy-drive.

    This are the files:

please make sure whether lockout jumpers is set to correct or not

    OK,

    I managed to create a bootable USB! I used this great guide;
    http://www.biosflash.de/e/bios-boot-usb-stick.htm

But now I have another problem!

I boot on the USB. I type

    C:/ flash 861F107.BIN

It starts with the flashing procedure.. But at the end it gives this message:

    ----

    Flash ROM is Write-Protected

Please make sure whether lockout jumpers is set to correct or not

    ----

I searched on my motherboard and I looked in the guide but I could not find such a thing as lockout jumpers. Here is a detailed guide of my motherboard:
    http://www.produktinfo.conrad.com/d...871892-an-01-en-Motherboard_G31MXP_Series.pdf

There is an option in the BIOS setup called ´Super BIOS protect´.., but this is disabled.

    ---

I also tried to flash with the awdflash.exe utility using this command:

    C:/ awdflash 861F107.BIN

But I got the same message afterwards..

    Can someone please help me?

According to Yor MB Manual You need to Enter BIOS Setup and change the "Super BIOS Protect" Setting to DISABLED.
It's located in the FOX Central Control Unit Menu.
Then Save Bios Setting and Reboot and Flash the BIOS.
You should probably re-enable tha tsetting once you have the BIOS flashed and test that it works properly.

Stop hovering to collapse... Click to collapse... Hover to expand... Click to expand...

What do you mean with switches? You mean the jumpers? I looked on my motherboard, and searched in the manual. There are no ´bios flash protection´ jumpers on my motherboard.

Well anyway, everything seems to be working fine now..
