So you already use Insydeflash and failed on flashing?
Maybe you have to try from DOS using flas**t

I would also appreciate some tutorial or just a simple guide on how to use InsydeFlash utility. I've just grabbed a moded SLIC 2.1 bios for my HP HDX-16 lappy but I couldn't find any manual related to instructions how to use this InsydeFlash utility in practice. Also, is it safe to use this InsydeFlash tool in Vista x64? I don't want to get my lappy bricked just because of a lack of information on how to properly flash it with a moded bios.

    Thank you for any help!

I just saved the modded .FD file in the same folder as InsydeFlash and ran the tool as normal.

I flashed my HP HDX 18 in Vista x86 but I can't think of why it wouldn't work in x64. I also flashed an updated version of the BIOS, F.24A, after installing Win7 x86 and it worked just as well.

    Sixroy,
I just flashed my HDX16t with the modded BIOS (many thanks to bgage) and it worked flawlessly. I just clicked the Insyde flash utility that's included and voila, BIOS loaded. After reboot, I verified using RW-Everything that SLIC 2.1 is there. Proof: I'm using my lappy to post this.:)

BTW, I also flashed from Vista x64. And as I said before, no problems encountered, didn't brick the lappy!:D
