    Hi there,

I Know, I can hide KB971033 WAT update in Windows Updates to prevent it from installing.

Is there any way to import this setting by

    - Registry File (.reg),
    - Command Shell Script (.cmd) or
    - Visual Basic Script (.vbs)?

I would like to apply this (hide KB971033 from Windows update) for unattended Windows 7 installations.

I don't think you can dude, You can try google if you want. What I would do actually is make it so your computer does not connect to the internet rite away and then hide the update manually. BTW when SP1 is released KB971033 will be integrated most likely so basically, if you want SP1 you are gonna get WAT!

OK, then I will have to

    (1) install KB971033 and after that I will
    (2) apply one of these CLI commands to to disable WATu files without uninstalling.

    WAT an annoying thing.

One question to this: When will WAT become active - after installation and rebooting?

So I could install and apply CLI command (disable associated scheduled task or takeown/icacls sppcomapi.dll) - reboot - and no information will send to Microsoft?
