Hi, first post here.. i need some help.

How do i insert SLP string into Phoenix bios?

I have used the OEMBIOS tool (v1.1) to check for SLP strings but it just closes after i open it. So i assume there isnt any.

I read in the DMI Boot cd thread that it can tattoo the HP SLP strings on award/intel bios.. but not for Phoenix ones?

There was a comment about using the phlash16.exe but how exactly do i use it to add the SLP strings? Do i just google and download any phlash16.exe or is there some differences between manufacturers etc?

    More Info..
    Type : 00h (0)
    Length : 13h (19)

    BIOS Release Date : 09/02/2004

I was just trying to reformat my current pc with disc from my friend when my existing key didnt work..

You might want to ask this in the BIOS section, prolly will get a quicker reply. I have not done a Phoenix BIOS yet so i can't say. Maybe NoJuan might drop in and answer this for you he's pretty good with BIOS mods.

Would like to enter a SLP 1.0 string in the Samsung NP-NB28 referenced here: forums.mydigitallife.net/threads/5864-Phoenix-bios-SLIC-mod-requests-(*.WPH-or-*.ROM-files).?p=289362&viewfull=1#post289362

Which tool am I likely to need(and what would I need to do?)?

    Thanks in advance.

Thanks, though would that work for XP Pre-installation too? No SLP 1.0 string noted with the OEMBIOS tool.
