Yes you can install and run the VB6 programming IDE on Windows 8.1 64 bit. Remember to 'Run as administrator'

You still need your VB6 CD and license number. VB6 programming seems to be supported on Windows 10 too. Applications run on the Windows 10 technical preview and the VB6 IDE installs correctly.
