    Hello,

This is my first post here. Nice you meet you guys!
I have an issue and I would really like your help. I recently bought a Dell XPS 15 9570 - Intel Core i7 8750H and I would like to install Windows 7 Ultimate. I know it's an old OS and that the support will end soon but I would really like to install Windows 7 Ultimate. However, after doing some research I found out that my CPU (?) it's not compatible.

Apparently this is true because I enabled legacy mode on my BIOS and disabled UEFI and tried to boot from my Windows 7 Ultimate USB flash drive but I couldn't boot from it at all. It doesn't even recognize the USB. The laptop just says "Selected boot device failed. Press any key to reboot the system." That doesn't happen when I use the same USB drive but with Windows 10.

Some people in different forums said it is possible to install it but that I'll have to make a "custom Windows 7 installation" or something like that with the USB 3.x drivers and the CPU drivers included in the installation files or install.WIM or something like that. I tried to ask them but those posts (reddit) were old and apparently those users are no longer active. I'm not a very advanced user and I would like to get some help. Is there any modified/custom Windows 7 Ultimate ISO out there that already includes the USB 3.x drivers and/or CPU drivers that I could try? I would be really thankful if you can help me.

Thanks in advance for your help!

Yeah I read that one but then I was reading that it was possible on Coffee lakes here:

    reddit.com/r/intel/comments/7fy8yz/full_report_installing_windows_7_ultimate_on/

But the OP has no activity at all. Does not respond the messages so I couldn't get his help.

Simplix UpdatePack disables Processor check too, and puts in a USB3.x driver installer (it installs the appropriate USB3.x driver during install.

Just put the install.wim in a windows 10 iso and it will boot (the tool, @urie linked at, does the same).

See if there is a way to enable legacybios or at least csm in the bios settings, else windows 7 can't be installed.

I would advise to try with Pro, this sku can be activated on both, UEFI(GPT), by KMS and LegacyBIOS(MBR) by DAZ' Windows Loader.

Windows 7 Pro is better than Ultimate? I thought Ultimate had all the features. I will try the tool @urie posted. I actually want to activate it using the Windows Loader by daz, not the KMS. I will report back the results. Thanks to both of you! :D

Just to confirm, Ultimate doesn't have UEFI support like Professional? Or both are the same?
