I have tried to install Win8-7955 on my desktop without success for 3 times. Every time after installing updates and rebooting, the PC just hung there and freezing, it won't go any further to complete the setup. I don't have this kind of problem with Win8-7850 setup. Does anyone know how to fix this? Do I need to modify the Win8-7955 ISO (add $OEM$, replace store, tokens folders...) in order to install it? Please advise, thanks in advance.
I just mounted the ISO on Daemonds in win7 and there it goes. Sometimes burning a DVD is a real pain.
Yes, once mounted it immediately ask if you want to run set-up, then everything goes smoothly. After win8 setup had expanded about 27% of the files, it reboots and leaves win7 behind, that's it.
How do I get those 2 system screens? Do I need to download and install the software? Do you have the link?
Can anyone help? I can't install at all. It gets to "expanding windows files" and just hangs at 0%. I was running 7850 just fine (well, it installed fine, but ran really slow). I'm installing it directly on 50gb partition, but it's just not working.. EDIT: After trying again around 5 more times, it's finally installed. Time to unlock dome features!
Having the same problem as JizzyMojo. Been stuck on expanding for about 40 minutes.....does anyone have a fix other than trying again???
Help cant install 7955 I am installing to a hard drive, installation proceeds ok till the pc reboots for the first time during install and then hangs at "completing install" screen after setting up the registry settings. I have tried 8-9 times, hav checked the iso-hashes are ok'----got it from winworld-pc direct links I am installing by usb method. 7850 build installed fine previously with everything working fine; please advise Thanks in advance
Really? So does this mean that I would have to either find a way unlock the hardware virtualization or partition my actual hard drive to use it? Thanks
@myhken Mine is a celeron processor, lenovo 3000 g410 laptop, Build 7850 works fine even better and faster then win 7sp1
Yes 7850 works on "every" computer (real and virtual) but 7955 demands a dual core CPU or better. And as I can see from your specs, you don't have a dual core. (From the specs online, you have a Intel Celeron Processor M530, 1.73 GHz with one core). So I don't think you can install 7955, have not seen any hacks that make you install 7955 on a single core computer (real or virtual)
