So i was trying to install visual studio 2017, and it asked to update my windows, i have a pirated windows version, can i update the windows the normal way through control panel > windows update because i read that updates detect pirated windows, and dis-activate it, so what can i do any help plz!!
Depends on; if system files were tampered (aka dirty hacking) an Update might revert the changes. Proper activation on the other hand can't be neither detected nor revoked. Question is, what did you do to your system?
i am not the one who installed the windows so i don't really know, is there is a way i could figure this out

All good here . System isn't 'hacked' at all, instead seems to be activated properly by a KMS solution. You're good to go and can install updates with no problems .
KMS = KeyManagementServer. It's a way enterprises/universities and co. use to activate hundreds of machines inside their own network. The KMS Emulators (slightly ab)use those mechanics to activate Windows.

Microsoft Toolkit on this very forum would fix your activation even after malicious software removal tool and anything else.
