Google chrome making my windows 10 slow. when am using web browser like Google chrome my memory goes to 80% and above i have Intel Quad Core2 Q6600 2.4GHz with 4Gb RAM. do you know any web browser that uses less memory and CPU? or do i need to install Lubuntu?
i've a system with pentium dual core with 2 gb ram installed windows 10 32 bit. i never face any problem with chrome. also chrome using high memory is actually a good thing. with high ram chrome make sure you dont face any lagging or hanging while browsing web. please post your task manager screen shot.
I can't figure this out as well. I had an I5 Quad with 4GB ram and on my best day never ran over 3.1GB used. Now I have an I7 7700 with 8GB Ram and same Chrome using 6.1 GB of the 8...What has changed? I run same stuff as the I5???? Seems to me the more ram you have the more windows will utilize??? You tell me.
I had from the 16 gigs I have 63 % taken but in my case it was diskeeper memory setting changed that and back to 30 % now ! Just saying it could be related to for example an extention form the browser
i got the new graphic card Geforce GT1030 put in my computer. chrome is running alot faster, also Youtube 1080p@ 60fps, 2K and 4K are running smoothly CPU usage is 10% to 25% is gone very low, and RAM is about 50% to 60% before this my CPU was hitting at 80% to 100% just watching YouTube 1080p@ 60fps. very happy now
use better GPU and CPU add more RAM use less extensions and addons clean regularly cache and registry (User MRU list) make cooling better if temperature is high
my CPU is over-heating, one of the FAN screw is lose, i can't fix it. maybe need a new fan. but the new graphic card GPU helped alot.
if is overheating and fan don't work, then is the first thing you must (!) do - replace it immediately! Before is too late. If this is done, try other recommendations, that is all, what You can do.
