    Hello,

as the title says, I want to know how to make Windows 7 Firewall ask me what to do (allow\block) just like any other 3rd party firewalls.

answer is you can't, there is no option. just install third party. anyway security softwares are catching the launch date of windows 7, new versions optimized for win 7 will be all here soon. :)

you could use Comodo - Firewall (free) or Eset Smart Security 4 which works with Win7 ( x86 and x64 )

Doesn't it do exactly that when you run a new application that access the internet?
That's how I recall it working for me...

I use Windows 7 Firewall Control on several of my PCs. It does exactly what you want. The free version is good enough for me. It actually uses the Windows Firewall engine but it will ask you if you will accept a program for inbound and/or outbound calls. For every program that access the Internet you will select Enable all, Disable all, Incoming only or Outgoing only.

THANK YOU... Now that's a worth while program to download :) :D
So far working very nice although you will most likely need to change the default sound it makes on detecting connection. REALLY irretating LOL.
