How should I manually update Office 365 (Office 2016 version)?

Can I still download and install .msp files, to manually update Office 365?

Thank you for your clarification. :)

Click To Run don't have separate update files

to update manually, run command prompt as administrator and execute:
    Code:
    "%CommonProgramFiles%\Microsoft Shared\ClickToRun\OfficeC2RClient.exe" /update user updatepromptuser=True displaylevel=True

Isn't there a button for doing it through the user interface as well?

File>Account>Update Options>Update Now in almost any Office application.

The button will enable auto updates, before allowing to Update Now

    No

Office C2R is like Windows Update, the updates are calculated and downloaded in delta form
    and deleted upon applying

they cannot be reserved or used for other C2R installation

MS is getting worse and worse, some day it may even want to control how users use its software.

Thank you very much for your explanation.

I really dislike Click-to-run version of Microsoft Office, as the MSI version is more suited for my purpose. The issue is that my office laptop is using Click-to-run version of Microsoft Office, and I am not allowed to uninstall it, to be changed to MSI version.

I prefer to download the office update files (.exe) just once, and then extract the .msp files, to be kept in my computer. With that, I can perform manual offline update on the computers, without downloading the office update files again.

For Click-to-run version of Microsoft Office, I have to let Microsoft Office in each computer to download the office update from the Internet, wasting a lot of time along the way. Not everyone has high-speed internet, through.
