Guys, I've been searchin' for a while....but dint got any answer.... is it possible to mod an intel bios to add SLIC 2/2.1 tables....?? thnx for ur suggestions...
well, you have to find a way to dump the decrypted Bios file, never done such a thing but it seems the intel bios file for this board has an encryption over it with obviously is removed during the flashing.
Old (before 9xx chips) Intel BIOS's were based on AMI. There's a tool to extract the AMI-rom from those old *.bio files to mod in usual AMI-modding way. New Intel BIOS's have different nature, but majority of them have Isyde block inside (sound funny). The whole *.bio file can be segmented in parts with EFI-unpacker and this will produce a few *.fd files, the one which name begins with 77... is that Insyde rom which can be opened with H20 tool, but GUI's for SLIC's parts are different from usual Insyde BIOS's, so all this needs further exploration. If to cut the beginning of that file to right offset, it can be decompressed with lzma.exe, and in decompessed file you'll find the empty SLIC table in all it's beauty, lol. What to do next i don't know really.
well u can dl intel bios is .BIO, .ISO, .ZIP N .EXE formats........ n there r no tools to mod intel bios thats a fact
looks like emulation is only our hope......... if u decompress .ZIP bios file u'll get a .itk file it contain an empty SLIC table.... i guess
