    Hello Guys,
I need to learn how to mod my BIOS? I am sure it is very easy but I never done this before! I have DELL PC and I have DELL WIN7 PRO DVD. I just bought new AMD A10 6800K CPU and new Motherboard GA-F2A88X-UP4 rev3.0. I did download the BIOS from GA web site F2 version.
1- What tools do I need to mod the original BIOS?
    2- How to do it?
3- Is it safe to mod the BIOS as far as virus .etc?
4- Can I use the same DELL Win 7 Pro DVD or do I need to edit it some how?
    Thanks for the help,

Since you made it to this forum, I would recommend two other approaches, first is Daz's Loader, which loads the proper slic before loading Win7 there's a whole thread devoted to this topic. Second is to (change the channel [look for the thread]), to convert your installation to VL or download a fresh Win7VL SP1 from the repository, and use CodyQX4's MTK to activate it again a whole thread devoted to it. I've got machines running both methods (See the links in my signature). I've got one old Dell with a modded bios that I can't restore to factory bios, but at least I didn't make a brick out of it. What do you need to do that the stock bios won't do? Do a lot of reading here before you do anything, this is a great place, friendly and helpful.

    Thanks guys for the replys,
I did download the moded BIOS before even joined this forum and from this forum. I did not tried it yet. I joind this forum to learn and share my knowledge. Please help me learn modding the BIOS currectly.

Tito; I thought by modding the Gigabyte BIOS and added the Dell Win 7 Pro key to the BIOS and installed Win 7 Pro from the original Dell Win 7 Pro DVD everything should be fine? Am I right or wrong? What is Gigabyte cert for this mod for the mentioned moded bios? Is the moded BIOS for the PRO or ULT?

    Thanks for the help.

Tito; Please answer these questions for me:
1- Is the moded bios for win 7 pro or ult?
2- If I have a none OEM win 7 ISO how can I create OEM DVD with key and certificate embedded in it to use it for the forementioned system? I do have Dell Win 7 Pro DVD and I have ULT.ISO.
3- I did download OEMCERT_AND_SLICS_2013-11-28.7z from this forum and in the GIGABYTE\2.1 folder contains two files
    -----GBT[GBTUACPI]2.1-1A9179F1.BIN
    -----GBT-32EC9703.XRM-MS
I know that the GBT-32EC9703.XRM-MS is the certificate. what is the GBT[GBTUACPI]2.1-1A9179F1.BIN for? is it for the bios mod? If so then I do not have to worry about it as you provided a moded bios?
Please answer the 3 questions for me.
    Thanks for your help,

    1- I got it.
2- Can I use the $OEM$ folder from my Dell DVD (after copy everything from the DVD to the harddrivbe) and just add the GBT-32EC9703.XRM-MS to it then build my bootable ISO?
3- So the "GBT[GBTUACPI]2.1-1A9179F1.BIN" file is not needed if I just used the moded bios?

I am not slow but I want to make sure before I mess something up :)

    Thanks,

    2. Basically the Dell DVD also contains a $OEM$ folder in sources folder that includes Dell cert and & a script to set product key. You can just replace the cert with Gigabyte or delete the whole folder & replace it with searchengine's project.

    3. Yah, not needed.

Keys aren't brand specific, so you can leave it.
