Just a warning for those using ISA method for award bios. For my Gigabyte X48-DQ6 I can use ISA method for SLIC 2.0, but for 2.1 it will hang when boot up. Luckly it still can reflash using Gigabyte Quick Flash.

If the tools say that you need to use ISA method, think twice and make sure you can reflash it to a working one.

p.s. ISA method not work for me with SLIC 2.1, which the bios mod by that tools, or by myself manually.

    Can someone clarify.

Although there is not yet available, an ASUS SLIC 2.1 file. Am I right in thinking I could have the following settings in the Award SLIC Mod v1.13?

    Manufacturer: ASUS
    SLIC File: HP.BIN
    SLP File: ASUS.TXT
    Cert: HP.XRM-MS

Then use Pubkey to generate the new BIOS.

If I'm right, specifying the SLIC and Cert a HP applies the branding so to speak, but selecting the ASUS.TXT SLP file, applies the correct magic to allow correct flashing my ASUS P5N32-E SLI board's bios right?

    1) Ask in the thread
    2) I believe that SLP = XP activation, so I would use HP. Just remember that your Asus mainboard is now from HP :) Important for future reinstall although you can just check SLIC again.

Hi, I have the exact same problem with my AsRock K8Upgrade-NF3 mobo and HIS HD 4650 Fan Native HDMI 1GB (128bit) DDR3 AGP under Windows 7 Ultimate 32 bit. MB uses AMI BIOS 2.40 though. I do have DSDT.dsl file now (extracted using AIDA64 Extreme Edition and I got the same file using DSDT Editor) but I have no idea what to do with it. Can someone help me here? Thank you in advance.
