Does anyone know how to modify/edit the AWARD BIOS (Version 6 in my case) build date? Is there any tool or way to do that?
that would really be interresting. Because this is a way to identify a non matching Bios - Cert - Key - Slic - Date - Motherboard
And what about the bios build number you would need to edit that also do you really think if MS was to check it wouldn't just check if the manufacturer site first. More parranoid peeps
If they will check that, they may also cross check with the manufacturers which of their boards are being used by/were manufacture for OEM companies (such as DELL, HP etc.) and which are not and exclude the Mobos which are not, so no need to be a smart-ass. If you don't have constructive information to offer, better not post at all. Do you know a way to change the build date?
awdedit with hexedit as plugin (very buggy on 64bit) - easy to change the date (in system bios -da only rom on my particular bios with date) - haven't flashed yet so not sure if it's a workable solution.
