How to partition

    Hi, can i ask how can i partition my hard drive i have only one partition drive c: and i want to put drive d: partion can you help me please,my o.s is windows 7 ultimate.

    use yumi usb tool ( pendrivelinux.com )to make gparted bootable usb.. shrink c: then make second partition primary also.

    HI, thank you for the reply,,,but the o.s is already installed in my laptop and it only has drive c: and i want to make drive d: to partition.

    Hi there,
    Open up disk management
    select the C: volume and right click, select shrink volume.
    Enter the amount of space you want to shrink and see all the values. If you like what you see, then click shrink.
    Now you see unallocated (in black). Right click and go new simple volume.
    Go through the wizard (next) and when you reach the page with drive letter, select D:.
    Then finish the wizard.

    Well done, you have created a new disk partition.
