How to prevent drives expanding in Explorer?

    Every now and then ThisPC will expand to show all the drives in it in Explorer so I collapse it again but after a while it expands again.

    Is there a tweak that actually works to stop this?

    Do you have Classic Shell installed? It can be done by Classic Shell.

    I don't have Classic Shell installed as it hasn't been updated in ages and users on their forums are reporting random explorer.exe crashes with the current version on the Creators Update. The developer has taken a halt on updates and is rarely gonna update it anymore from what I've read on the Classic Shell forum
