Long story short... I screwed up my Office installation and now I can't install or reinstall Office 2013 Pro Plus. Does anyone know of a guide that someone has written on how to do this?
Just tried it. Sadly, because it only displays how to remove the preview and MSI versions of Office, neither of those worked either. I appreciate the help though!! Is there anything else I should try?
I hate to bump such an old thread, but I never did reply with my fix. It turns out that THIS^^ actually was the problem. Just thought this tiny bit of information may be helpful to someone
Maybe, My ultimate goal when this was happening was to reinstall Office 2013 after I had uninstalled the VL version of Professional Plus. The reason why I was doing this was; at the time I had obtained a retail key from the Microsoft contact through the company I work for. I had already gotten it activated manually through KMS (again this was pre-release) and I wanted a permanent activation solution. So I uninstalled Office, and I remember manually deleting files or something like that and because of that, it would not uninstalled on it's own. Even if I used a program like Revo Uninstaller. So I thought that there must be remnants of the previous Office installation left on my system which is why I asked for help purging Office. However, my ultimate goal was to get the product reinstalled. I was eventually able to accomplish this by adding a folder (All Users) to the MSOcache directory. This folder usually generated by the installer - but for some reason wasn't being generated when I was trying to reinstall the program (permissions issue perhaps?). In the end, Office 2013 Professional Plus Retail was able to be reinstalled on my system when I added that folder manually.
