I had just bought a new motherboard which is turning out to be quite unstable, even on default settings. It seems to lock up at random; under full load, idle, whenever. It took the SLIC 2.1 mod and is running Windows 7 with no activation issues. So before I take it back to the the retailer for an in-store credit, is there any way to take out the SLIC so I don't look like I modded it? I have the ASUS P5N-T with the 780i nForce chipset.
Download current bios from their website and do exactly what you did when you flashed bios with the slic 2.1 mod. Good luck
It worked!! Used the SLIC Toolkit and it showed as nothing there, not even the SLP existed anymore. I always thought that it wouldn't be touched by future bios updates, but I guess I was wrong.
