How to remove watermark 8.1 Pro Preview Build 9431.

    Why did you have to do this? was it because you upgraded from pirate or un activated version? . usually once upgraded it activate till jan 2014

    Watermarks are present on all evaluation versions.

    BTW is this x86 or x64?

    I test on x64 (I think so work with x86 too)

    No.. It for new Window 8.1 Pro Preview Build 9431. (I update form Win8 pro RTM by Windows Store)
    Because old DLL shell32.dll.mui and basebrd.dll.mui for 8.1 Build 93xx don't work with Build 9431. (Can't remove all text-line watermark in build 9431.)
    So. I used resource editor program to modify shell32.dll.mui and basebrd.dll.mui from original Build 9431 files.
    My files has clean, safety and similar original "Build 9431" files .

    it (would) not work. You should get the x86 files and modify them

    Its works on Windows 8.1 Preview x64 perfect! Thanks you very much! All files I have been replaced with Seven File Replacer!

    On default settings the transparency is ON! No extra "work" is needed!:biggrin:

    Now I dont have other PC for install Win8.1 32bit.
    Please.. Copy your 32bit shell32.dll.mui and basebrd.dll.mui files. Zip it in once and Post attach.
    I will try modify it.

    The Taskbar is transparent on default, no need to do anything. Will post tomorrow morning (it's 23:30 in Thailand) a picture for you!
