How to replace tokens.dat & pkeyconfig ( Backup Files ) ???

    Hi there,

    I installed Windows 7 Ultimate and used Technet key from a friend to activate. I backup 2 files: tokens.dat & pkeyconfig

    Now I reinstall Windows 7 ultimate and want to replace the old tokens.dat & pkeyconfig to new system. Unfortunately, The Technet key is now over 10 activation times.

    I'm wondering if someone know how to replace the tokens.dat & pkeyconfig ? and Can we use 2 backup files and old key to activate offline ??

    Any suggestions and help would be appreciated.

    If I am not wrong, tokens.dat & pkeyconfig + SLIC2.1 is only for OEM SLP activation, the files don't affect retail activation.
    Correct me if I am wrong.:eek:
