or open explorer (win+e) and go to your system32 folder (normally located @ c:\windows\system32) and select calc.exe

Simplest way is: Win+R and then type calc. Win+R opens the conventional "Run" dialog and you can then enter many of the late great commands. In this case, simply typing "calc" and Enter will open the Windows calculator app
Two options. 1. Move mouse top right and get the charms menu. Search for calc, right click on calculator item that comes up on the right and select "Pin to Start". This will add the old calc program as a tile to Metro UI. 2. Install a real app like Calculator app. It has better features, looks good and is more powerful - "goo.gl/QMJpo"
