Hi, I want to learn MS SQL and now I want to know how do I need to configure it to work on Windows8. I just want to install it for learning purpose. Just local development. Thx in advance.
Can't understand your post: simply download it and install it. I have installed it in Window 8 and no problem at all... It is also free..
First you will need to download sql server, then you can install it on your Windows 8 System. If it doesn’t work, try to install it on compatibility mode, this worked for me. Also, if you want to learn sql server more effectively and efficiently, I would recommend visiting Microsoft Virtual Academy. I learned a ton from them and I would definitely say their expert led courses are the best in the industry!
Just install with "Run As Administrator" and after installation - run it with "Run As Administrators"
