How to setup a Windows 8/8.1 KMS Server?

    Can anyone please provide me with detailed instructions on how to create a KMS server so that friends and family can activate their copies of Windows 8/8.1

    I don't have a KMS key so would need to use the kms tools already available - I just don't have the know how on how to setup my own server.

    A far simpler and more effective option would be to get your hands on one of the tools already available in the forums. They are around 1 MB in size and consist of single files. One run of a particular file on each system, twice a year, is all it takes. And you can schedule them so as to set and forget.
