Hi. does anyone know how to split an AIO iso ?
You need to login to view this posts content.
I think he wants to get a specific version of windows 8 from the AIO not actually split the ISO/
Maybe he means getting the x64 indexes out of an x86/x64 hybrid?
If that's the case, load up gimagex v2 and click the export tab.
Just export the ones you want in your new install.wim
You can also delete images from an install.wim but I'd recommend re-exporting them using max compression as it will not reduce file-size when deleting indexes, but will when re-exporting.
murphy78, one quick question if I may: I haven't used compress:recovery yet, can this just be used as a simple "compress to the max" option? (The "recovery" is throwing me off a bit). As I've mentioned before, I use WinNTSetup for applying wim files (not sure if it even supports .esd yet) and I'd like to give this a try.
As long as I keep in mind that the resulting .esd is pretty much "readonly", are there any other things I should be aware of? How much smaller are the files on average? (10%, 20%?) Thanks!
Hi, yes i want to get a windows 8 professional wmc 64 bit version from an windows 8 aio iso hybrid (x86/x64)
Hi, I did what you told me but at the time of installation tells me to use the disk labeled 64bit. Some solution to use it to upgrade an operating system already exists?
I also tried to not insert the install.wim but it gave the same message!!!
