Using newest O2016RTool 2017/September/18, I tried to reproduce the error in several test scenarios, but all my conversion- and activation-attempts succeeded. Anyone else out there, having problems with this new version?
For all: This is a HowTo-/helping-thread, not a "There's a new Office"-thread. So please, resist to announce new versions here. To publish your new version announcements there is a better place/thread to go. Uptodate version list can be found on 1st page of this HowTo-thread in post #6. And users of O2016RTool will always get new version available info at program start.

Search function shows: You formerly used KMS_VL_ALL for Office activation. KMS_VL_ALL (either from qewlpal or abbodi1406) creates a scheduled task for automatic renewal / activation. Something wrong with this? Both were updated recently. Maybe new version is worth a try. In case this doesn't work, you can take some of the other KMS-solutions here at MDL. Support and answers you will find there in the threads.

Hello guys....I m in a bit of a fix..... I was using office 2007 on win-10 and had to reset the system for some reason....it removed a lot of things including office 2007 (activated using Microsoft tool kit sometime back), I just downloaded officer 2016 from...arch.rpi.edu/assets/...it is a volume vesion....SW_DVD5_Office_Professional_Plus_2016_64Bit_English_MLF_X20-42432.ISO..... Now the problem i face is how to activate this and with what.....I would prefer some thing more simple as I am not from a tech background.....and there are so many post and replys (in hundereds..) that I sometimes get lost in there.... It would be a great help if someone might just point me in the right direction....basically I have 3 questions.... Should i first install office 2016..offline or online Then while activating will it be better to be online or offline What sould i use...M-Toolkit.... or go with..... O2016RTool ....or use something else? Many Thanks in advance....
Hi guys i am trying to install office 2016 C2R on windows 7 64 home basic but i am getting the message no supported kms client windows detected..... attempting to activate office 16,office16proplusvl_kms_client edition activation failed. remaining period :0 days these are the things i have done:\ install c2r office 2016 convert it using 016-c2r retail2volume then when running kms_vl_all_beta_3 then i get the above error following message.
That's KMS_VL_ALL output regarding Windows activation. But normally it should state "Windows permanently activated". To me it looks like license files are corrupted. See this post how to deal with it. And I'm seeing from other thread you tested VLSC Volume version, too: You are sure, you did a complete Office removal by using Office-FixIt-Tool to avoid mix installs?
yes I have used Microsoft uninstall tool to remove office completely. Do you guys have any recommendation if there are some tools that clean up and remove all previous kms or anything related
Unfortunatedly uninstall doesn't cleanup Office software protection license files. Did you try to remove (and recreate) tokens.dat licence file as suggested? This procedure is for Windows 7 only. For Windows 8/10 look in post #5 and scroll down to chapter '(K) Start KMS activation'
Need to admit i stand corrected. Not sure what the VM machines problem was, the tool works as promoted . Tested flawlessly on a friends machine with Win 10 1703 and ProPlus full install.
A new O2016RTool version (2017/October/09) was released today Changes (Only valid if O2016RTool is running on Server 2016 or Windows 10): - If MS-Defender Antivirus is active and running, O2016RTool temporarily creates exclusions in MS-Defender for all needed KMS activation files. - After KMS activation is finished, these exclusions are removed. MS-Defender will be back in its original state. No other changes were made. Silent Update: Just detected in Powershell documentation: Windows Defender Powershell CMDLets are valid for Server 2012R2 and Windows 8.1, too. O2016RTool is now able to configure MS-Defender running on Windows 10 AND Windows 8.1. Download-links and checksums in OP were updated.
Hello. I did several searches for an answer to this but couldn't find any similar posts. I apologize if this has already been answered elsewhere. I used the O2016RTool to install C2R ProPlus, choosing about half of the programs to install. Office shows my current version is 16.0.8431.2046, and has shown that version for several months. When I click to install updates, I get the window that shows updates were found and they are downloading. Then I get a very brief window showing updates are installing, then a window saying updates were installed. If I click to update Office again, it says I have the latest version. But my version number has not changed since the original installation. So.....am I updated to the latest version with the latest security fixes? Thank you for all replies.
