First time I see this on a brand new laptop. First time dealing with Bitlocker in general. I'm partitioning a laptop's HDD but Partition Manager says it's bitlocker encrypted: Volume C on a NVMe drive and Volume D on a HDD both onboard, obviously can't do any partitioning operation Laptop's user don't need don't want bitlocker on... So how to safely disable it remove it etc.
Disabling bitlocker will allow anyone to read the content of the HDD if they stole the laptop. With bitlocker enabled, that's near impossible to do. You can disable bitlocker (it might increase the read/write performance). Just press win+r and write control. Search for the "manage bitlocker" menu and press disable. You can reenable it at any time.
