Im using Windows 10 LTSB x86 and have my updates disabled cause of this laptop's low storrage Bitdefender needs the latest version of IE to work and M$ page redirects me to edge Can someone provide me the Windows update package link?
Completely incomprehensible. You claim that your computer has little space, or at least not enough space, but at the same time you claim that you have Bitdefender there. However, I am absolutely sure that Bitdefender does not use either the new or the old IE. Never used them. Exactly like You don't need Bitdefender - not at all and never.
1) Compress your FS. Old ntfs compression takes half the space, new LZX compression takes 1/3 of the space. 2) use dism not WU to install the cumulative update, use the /scratchdir switch to use an external folder for temp files (keep wu disabled) 3) once updated do a resetbase to avoid wasted space 4) the best antivirus is a decent browser like Vivaldi, an updated system, and some common sense.
I normally using defender but the older version that LTSB has takes to much resorces for the poor Atom Z3735f with 2gb RAM
Never heard about duckduck, google....? 1) Whatever... ntfs compression exist since Win NT3.x and can be enabled easily from the properties of disks/folders/files It's also usable vie the command compact (type compact /? for the syntax) LZX compression (introduced in W10 ) is usable only via command line, see above 2) dism /online /add-package /packagename:"<your update.cab" 3) dism /online /Cleanup-Image /StartComponentCleanup /ResetBase As single home user what you can deduce from a brief test of an AV that presumably has nothing to do in 99.999999% of the time? Sure you can see if it's light or heavy, but other than that?
