Hey all, i dont know is this thread is right place to ask this, so excuse me... Can I activate Windows 10 Pro with another MSA acc in my machine in what i was have activated Windows 10 Pro, coz i lose acess to my first MSA in what I was have permanently activation for Win 10 Pro, when I do clean instal with this method on 1st page?
The HWID will still be valid, with or without a msa linked to it, if after installing the machine still is HWID activated you could try to link it to another msa.
Many thanks to Yen, Daz, and Blinky. I followed the original post to clean install W10 on my W7 Toshiba laptop, using gatherosstate etc, and it all worked. My W10 installation is now activated with the digital entitlement. Previously W10 would not activate using my W7 product key.
This works using the 7 Pro VL activated with daz loader to generate GenuineTicket.xml? Tested with Windows 10 Pro but not active. Prompts to enter another key. I did not follow step 1 and not installed the drivers. Does it make a difference?
Didn't work for me. I tried with daz loader. It's a laptop where it had its windows 10 key blacklisted so I wanted to try this method..oh well.
Hey guys, My case is slightly different. I've got Windows 7 Home Premium x64 installed using VirtualBox. Then I was able to activate it using SLIC method described in this thread (sorry no links allowed) http : //forums.mydigitallife.net/threads/50711-VIRTUALBOX-V4-3-SLIC-ACTIVATION-AIO-for-WINDOWS-HOST-amp-7-GUEST-SLIC-2-1-%28Dell%29. So basically my guest os is validated geniune (I've check it using windows validation link described somewhere in this topic). Then I used MediaCreationTool (under VirtualBox guest os) to download right version of Windows 10. After that I rip off gatherosstate.exe (x64) from downloaded iso and use it to generate GenuineTicket.xml. So far so good. Next step was Windows 10 Home installation (making another guest os) and adding necessary SLIC file and settings in Windows10.vbox file. After that I placed GenuineTicket.xml in right directory (C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\ClipSVC\GenuineTicket), connected guest os to the internet, rebooted 3-4 times and nothing happened. Windows 10 is still not geniune (error code 0x803F7001) AFAIK Both guest oses have same "hardware" so theoretically Yen's method should work but it's not.
I'm not familiar with virtual box. But if it's an isolated virtual install like VM the generated ticket most likely won't work on another created guest os (or the host os). Why inserting slics in a 10 install?
Well I've inserted slic table bin file to "emulate" same settings in both guest oses (Windows 7 and Windows 10). I thought this will be the best choice to get identical environment.
Someone I know bought this laptop with a blacklisted 10 key. I'm guessing the upgrade from daz-activated 7 to 10 process might use the internal blacklisted 10 key instead of the daz key. I'll just keep it on 7 I suppose.
Did you confirmed win 7 was showing as activated(& preferably after being connected to net for a few minutes). Also try running windows updates on 7 to get this win 10 free upgrade tool(aka GWX) & just run it manually: https: //support.microsoft.com/en-in/kb/3035583
Perhaps already mentioned but just want to be sure. Installed and activated win 10 Pro x86 and x64 in a vhd file. Boots fine using native vhd boot. If I would like to install win 10 on a real hdd on the same PC would it activate?
Interesting just tried this method on an old win 7 ultimate box that had been sitting in a corner for 18 mths turned off. Had been activated with loader, but didn't do win update, didn't update drivers, didn't validate just followed the steps from generate genuine ticket and it worked perfect. Writing this post on that same machine running win 10 pro fully activated. Whole process took only an hour
Curious if anyone has had any luck with this after changing a mobo or other major component having used ticket.xml method initially for activation?
