I thought only LEGTI Win 8.1's got Win 10? via MSDM etc? That's why everyone was installing Win 7 + Daz to get Win 10 HWID Activations.
Win 7 daz/legit activated is the most sure way to do it, and the genuineticket.xml route works on it. 8.1 KMS activated needs real upgrade and after upgrade it will say it's mak activated but after a clean install it says "activated by a digital license", genuineticket.xml only works with genuine activated 8.1.
Just tested the genuineticket.xml method and it still works, test system: Toshiba Satellite C670-11N.
Confirmed. Tested with latest Daz Loader. Works perfectly in Redstone. Why is the GenuineTicket.xml disappear from the directory afterwards though?
Perhaps Windows stores the info in the registry and deletes it . It's gone after the reboot, even before the machine is online again. But Windows is activated then.
Question! I am upgrading from a SLC/BIOS mod version of Win7 Ultimate (Sabertooth Z77) to a new Saberooth X99 board with Win10 (probably LTSB). The instructions note to install all the drivers or the Hardware ID may not match. How would I do this in this situation? I could upgrade my current Win7 installation, but then how do I transfer that "legit" activation to the new system? Thanks!!!

I've never done an upgrade using gatherosstate method. Are drivers really necessary? I mean, when I've done the long upgrade method, never installed a single driver for Windows 7. Yet after a clean install of Windows 10 it gets activated with its Digital License.
I strongly believe the hashing process utilizes devices' hwid's, for instance. Code: PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_0A65&SUBSYS_848E1043&REV_A2 Drivers could vary from version to version, from generic ones to oem ones, etc., so they are not good or suitable in my opinion for such hashing process.
Could *please* detail the steps you took? As I said, while I'm pretty damn good with Win7, I know basically nothing about Win10. (Wouldn't even be upgrading if I didn't have the new equipment). Thanks!
I've only ever installed the lan driver & not bothered with anything else. Hardware/device ID's don't change with or without drivers so gatherosstate works fine (in my opinion).
crazy idea scenario : 1. have win 10.10240 Pro installed installed ~ 1 year ago 2. now is 1607 up to date ( upgraded from 1511 , which was upgraded from 10240 ) 3. is still activated now by Microsoft Toolkit (MTKV 2.6.2) reinstalled 4. there are applications installed 5. all are ok to do : 1. replace the original hdd_1 with win 10 Pro installed already with another blank hdd_2 (a spare hdd/ssd) 2. install win 7 Pro/Ultimate on hdd_2 and dazzed it 3. get ticket and save it like OP ( Original Post ) instructed 4. put back the original hdd_1 with win 10 Pro installed already 5. cut internet before start the computer somehow 6. uninstall MTKV 7. restart 8. put genuine ticket in its place with internet still off 9. restart ( all OP directions are respected ) 10. now is the right time for restoring internet connection ( internet on ) QUESTION : will get mine windows 10 an year old installed the digital licence ? c
did not work with anniversary edition, or maybe because I couldn't find drivers for windows 7, I am using Z170K board.
